Enquiry Filters
You can use enquiry filters to restrict a user's access to accounts and ledger entries. You can create as many filters as may be required. Each filter can be assigned to many users and many filters can be assigned to each user.
A sample Enquiry Filter Edit view and the list of Entity Type is shown on the right

The name is merely there to identify the Filter and the Entity type is where the filter is active.
You need to use the Select Additional Criteria to filter the user's access.
Filters can use attributes created at Configuration > Attribute Wizard. For example, you could create an attribute on a ledger account called Restricted - with options No or Yes - and restrict access on this basis.
Enquiry filters do not affect the contents of any report but if a user drills down into data that is subject to a filter, transactions will be hidden.
