We’re excited to share the latest updates designed to improve your experience with Aqilla. This release brings a mix of usability enhancements and behind-the-scenes improvements—from a cleaner, simplified URL, to expanded payment file compatibility with major banks. Read on to see what’s new:

🌐 URL Update

We’re simplifying things! You will now access the system via https://aqilla.net/instance — the “www” is no longer needed.

The API will continue to function as usual. However, we recommend updating to the new URL in preparation for a future update where this change may become mandatory.

💷 Bankline Enhancements for NatWest and RBS

We’ve made improvements to the payment file download process:

• The creditor reference will now be included in the file (when available).

• If no reference is provided, the system will default to using the creditor account name, just as it does today.

🏦 New Lloyds File Format Support

We’re expanding support for Lloyds Bankline by introducing compatibility with an alternative file format, giving customers greater flexibility.
